Andrew has worked in the field of mental health for over 25 years, and this has afforded him the opportunity to experience and work collaboratively with clients from a range of difficulties and backgrounds, using evidence-based treatments and see how effective and transformative they can be.
Andrew has extensive experience in working with anxiety and Mood disorders, such as Generalized Anxiety (Excessive worry); Social Anxiety; Panic Attacks; Phobia’s (animals, weather, emetophobia etc); OCD; Eating Disorders (Bulimia, Binge Eating disorder, Restrictive Eating); PTSD; Depression and low self esteem.
Andrew has worked as a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist since completing my training in 2002, and have practiced in a variety of NHS settings (GP Surgery’s, Specialist Psychotherapy services, Psychology and Early Intervention teams), Higher Education, and in a private capacity.
Andrew has held a number of Senior Management positions running and delivering talking therapy and wellbeing services, and has also worked as a Supervisor training CBT therapists at Exeter University.
Andrew’s approach is collaborative, evidence based and informed by your goals, with an emphasis on creating a strong therapeutic relationship.
