Linda Shattock is an experienced clinical psychologist who has worked for 30 years in community Child and Adolescent Mental Health services (CAMHS) in the NHS, the last 20 years being in Somerset CAMHS. She offers evidence-based psychological therapies to children, young people and their families presenting with a range of issues, such as emotional difficulties, anxiety and low mood. She has gained additional therapeutic skills with children, young people and their families by training to be an accredited cognitive behaviour therapist (CBT) 10 years ago. Within the NHS for 20 years she has worked as a specialist psychologist in multidisciplinary teams in Somerset assessing autism spectrum disorder in children and young people having been trained in the autism diagnostic interview (ADI) and the autism diagnostic observation schedule (ADOS).
She is an experienced clinical supervisor with additional training in clinical supervision and has offered specialist tutoring and supervision to a range of professionals, including trainee clinical psychologists at Exeter and Cardiff University for many years. In line with the guidelines of her professional bodies, she undertakes regular regular supervision and continued professional development.
