Dr Sara Johnson is a Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years’ experience of working in Adult Mental Health. She has worked in a range of settings as a clinician, therapist, manager and has also led and developed new services. She has worked with a range of difficulties: from anxiety and depression, through to the ways which trauma can be expressed (often labelled as personality difficulties).
Dr Johnson has undergone further training in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, attachment, family working, and relational therapies. She is an ACAT Accredited Cognitive Analytic Therapist, and this further psychotherapeutic training forms the heart of her current therapeutic approach. She values above all working together, collaboratively, ‘alongside; done with not done to’, where patterns in behaviour and relating which may have become problematic can be understood as original ways of coping and existing strengths can be valued and enhanced.
