Kate has worked previously with Victim Support and the NHS. She has been practicing as a counsellor, psychotherapist and couples counsellor for the last 15 years and is currently completing training in clinical supervision. 

At present as well as in private practice she works for two human rights NGOs,: Conciliation Resources and Foxglove. She also volunteers at StreetTalk, a small charity providing mental health care to trafficked women.

Kate has deep interest in family systems, relationship styles and in particular how people communicate: how these ways of relating developed and how they can be changed to afford a happier and healthier way of being.

Kate also specialises in addiction and has worked for many years with people suffering from addiction issue. She also works with bereavement and loss.

Kate works integratively which enables her to adapt counselling to the individual believing that one style does not fit all. She can work creatively using mindfulness, visualisations and dreamwork should the client find this approach useful.
