Debbie has worked within the NHS since 2014, providing evidence based interventions for adults, in line with NICE guidelines. Debbie works with difficulties such as depression, PTSD, trauma, stress and low self-esteem. In addition to these, she works with an extensive range of anxiety disorders such as, OCD, agoraphobia, social anxiety, panic, emetophobia, specific phobias, worry and health anxiety.
Within her role as a CBT therapist, she has obtained a lot of experience of working with clients with diagnosed or suspected neurodiversity’s such as ADHD and Autism. Her experience can help clients to better understand how their neurodiversity’s and certain behaviours may be impacting their mental health and everyday functioning.
Within the NHS, Debbie has been a clinical supervisor and had various management roles, managing teams of therapists across somerset, alongside her clinical work as a therapist.
Debbie is a warm, personable, pragmatic therapist who will support clients to get the most from their therapy sessions, making adaptations where necessary to best support the needs of her clients.
