What to Expect
Initially Abbie will carry out a CBT assessment to get to know you and explore your experiences, difficulties/challenges, what you feel might be keeping you in certain patterns. Conversations and exploration together will create space to identify goals for therapy or what you would like to see from therapy. This process can usually take between one and five sessions. During therapy, you will work together to address your difficulties with manageable tasks agreed and set in session for you to complete between sessions to support your progress. At the end of therapy, you and Abbie will create a summary and a plan to maintain you progress from therapy.
Abbie understands that starting therapy can be challenging with commitment, effort and motivation being required. CBT can be a powerful and impactful step, leading to lasting change.
